Stephen Skinner is a former Marketing Director who has lived in the town since 1992.
“I am all too aware of the many problems confronting our town and how it is suffering under the many changes forced up on it. Residents in all areas including Silverleys are confronted by severe traffic congestion and air pollution in the town centre. As a keen cyclist and a driver I want to promote sustainable transport policies. I was strongly critical of the previous District Council’s plans for Old River Lane, now we have the opportunity to sort this out.”
Chris has been a resident of Bishop's Stortford for over 20 years and first became active in politics in 2015. Since that time he has been passionately campaigning on a variety of issues, these include the air pollution at Hockerill and traffic congestion in Bishop's Stortford. He is also very keen to see communication with residents improve, and as a result has been appointed to the Executive at East Herts with his portfolio being resident engagement and consultation.
Chris works full-time as a Licensing Manager in Transport for London and is married with two grown-up children. In his spare time he enjoys running long distances and following Aston Villa and Bishop's Stortford FC.
